Darrel Owens

Darrel Owens currently serves as the Head of Development at Mohari Hospitality, a position held since June 2025. Prior to this role, Darrel held significant positions at Starwood Capital Group as the Head of Development & Construction Europe and Group Development & Property Director for the Principal Hotel Company, overseeing major development projects and reporting directly to the CEO. Experience also includes serving as Director - Head of Global Retail at Aedas, managing the global retail sector, and as Head of Architecture, Construction & Technical Development at Walmart, where accountability for all aspects of building construction was a key responsibility. Darrel began their career as Regional Director and Architect at Aedas, specializing in retail, and possesses a comprehensive educational background with multiple degrees in architecture from The University of Huddersfield.
