Joseph Smith

Joseph Smith has extensive experience in film, public relations, and tribal leadership. Since September 2007, Joseph has served as an Elder, Tour Guide at the Tantaquidgeon Museum, Tribal Councilor, and in Press, Public and Government Relations for the Mohegan Tribe. Prior to this role, Joseph worked at Mohegan from January 2003 to August 2007 as a Sports and Entertainment Publicist and Marketing Communications Specialist. Joseph's career began in the entertainment industry with positions at 20th Century Studios, Paramount, and Walt Disney from March 1990 to December 2002 as a Story Analyst, and earlier roles at ABC Motion Pictures as both a Publicist and East Coast Story Editor. Joseph holds a Master of Arts in Film/Cinema/Video Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from Columbia University.
