Babak Jamshidi

VP of Advanced Manufacturing and Procurement at Mojo Vision

Babak Jamshidi has been working in the technology industry since 2003. Babak began their career as a Researcher at the University of California in 2003. In 2006, they were a MEMS Specialist at Toyota Technical Center, where they invented a novel, low cost and high yield wafer processing method for Toyota sensor platforms. In 2007, they worked as an Analyst at Silicon Clocks, PAX Scientific, and Toyota Technical Center. In 2008, they were a Sr. Principal Engineer at FormFactor Inc., where they were tasked with invention and commercialization of novel MEMS based wafer probe testing platforms and architectures. Babak also worked as an Analyst at Lux Capital Management in 2008. From 2011 to 2017, they were Director of Product at STATS ChipPAC, where they led advanced packaging business unit, responsible for technology roadmap, defining targets and specs, driving the manufacturing and assembly tiger teams, supply chain and vendors. Since 2017, they have been the VP of Advanced Manufacturing and Procurement at Mojo Vision Inc., where they are responsible for integration of smart AR contact lens electronic module with low-power chipset, eye-tracking, display system and LiB batteries.

Babak Jamshidi obtained a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering - MEMS from the University of California, Berkeley between 2003 and 2008. Babak also received a Graduate Certificate (Minor) in Management of Technology from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business between 2004 and 2006. In addition, they obtained an M.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. Babak also has two additional certifications, an International Business certification from the University of New Mexico obtained in January 2016, and an IEEE Project Management certification from IEEE obtained in March 2011.
