Shiva Sriram

Shiva Sriram has a strong background in the biotechnology industry with experience spanning multiple companies. Their most recent role is as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Molbio Diagnostics, starting in September 2022. Prior to this, they worked at ACTREC as a Summer Trainee in 2013, where they focused on a project involving gene sequencing and mutation analysis for a rare cancer syndrome. In this role, they gained expertise in techniques such as DNA extraction, PCR, and bioinformatics. They also made significant contributions, discovering novel mutations and standardizing PCR conditions.

Before ACTREC, Shiva worked as a Summer Trainee at ICGEB in 2012, where they participated in research on the potential use of virus-like particles (VLPs) as vaccines for Dengue virus. They gained skills in protein purification, Western blotting, and quantification of VLPs.

Their earliest work experience was at BIOSHIELDS in 2011, where they received training in immunodiagnostic techniques and gained insight into the workings of a biotechnology company. Overall, Shiva Sriram has a diverse range of skills and experiences in biotechnology research and development.

Shiva Sriram completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Biochemistry from Delhi University from 2011 to 2014. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Biochemical Engineering from UCL from 2014 to 2015.
