Susan Murphy

Susan Murphy is currently the President at Molecular Devices. Susan has held this position since August of 2007. Prior to their current role, they served as Sr. Director of Sales for North America from January of 2002 to December of 2007. In this role, they were responsible for managing and developing the sales team as well as increasing sales in the North American market. From January of 1999 to December of 2002, Susan was a Customer Application Engineer at PerkinElmer, Inc. In this role, they provided technical support to customers and helped them to troubleshoot issues with their products. Prior to their time at PerkinElmer, Susan was a Research Technician at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center from January of 1998 to December of 1999. In this role, they conducted research experiments and managed laboratory operations. Susan began their career as a Lab Manager in the Department of Cardiology at the University of Chicago Medicine from January of 1994 to December of 1995.

Susan Murphy pursued a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, General from Lake Forest College. Afterward, they completed graduate coursework in Molecular, Cell and Developmental Biology from the University of Illinois Chicago.
