Naomi Garcia Alvarez

Naomi Garcia Alvarez, Ph.D, MBA, LPC-S has extensive experience in the healthcare industry, particularly in behavioral health. Naomi currently holds the position of Associate Vice President, Behavioral Health at Molina Healthcare since July 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Director, Behavioral Health Clinical Operations at CareSource from May 2020 to July 2021.

Naomi has also held various roles at Molina Healthcare, including Associate Vice President from April 2020 to May 2020, Director of Behavioral Health from September 2017 to April 2020, Program Director, Behavioral Health from April 2016 to September 2017, Program Manager from April 2013 to April 2016, and Care Review Clinician from November 2009 to April 2013.

Naomi began their career at CIGNA Behavioral Health as an Associate Care Manager from August 2002 to August 2006.

Naomi obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Communications from Angelo State University in 2002. Following this, they pursued a Master's Degree in Professional Counseling from Amberton University, graduating in 2005.

In 2009, Naomi continued their educational journey at St. Mary's University, where they earned a Doctorate in Philosophy with a focus on Counselor Education and Supervision. This demonstrates their commitment to advancing their knowledge in the field of counseling.

In order to further develop their skills in leadership and strategic decision-making, Naomi pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Strategic Leadership from Amberton University. Naomi completed this program in 2021, enhancing their professional expertise beyond counseling.
