Thomas Pingel has extensive experience in maritime leadership, currently serving as Koordinerende Kaptajn, Projektleder, Kaptajn, and Vagtplanlægger at MOLSLINJEN A/S since December 2018, managing scheduling for navigators and ship assistants on the Alslinjen. Previously, Thomas held multiple roles at Færgen from September 2010 to December 2018, including Kaptajn and Tjenestefordeler, with similar responsibilities for Alsfærgen. Educational qualifications include leadership training from Bilfærgernes Rederiforening and a Dual Skibschef degree from SIMAC, alongside technical education from Kogtved Søfartsskole and HTX - Teknisk Gymnasium.

Molslinjen A/S is Denmark's largest domestic ferry company. With a fleet of 21 ships, the company operates a total of ten routes on the ALSLINJEN, BORNHOLMSLINJEN, FANØLINJEN, LANGELANDSLINJEN, MOLSLINJEN, SAMSØLINJEN and ØRESUNDSLINJEN. In total, the ferries have approximately 15 million guests annually. The routes Aarhus - Odden, Ebeltoft - Odden and Rønne - Ystad are served by some of the world's largest catamaran ferries, and this makes Molslinjen A/S one of the world's largest fast ferry companies. In collaboration with Herning Turist, MOLSLINJEN operates KOMBARDO EXPRESSEN, which is a bus route with more than 116 routes across Denmark. Molslinjen A/S currently employs more than 2000 people.
