Jag Singh, a Chartered Engineer and Member of the Institution of Chemical Engineers (MIChemE), has a diverse range of work experience in various engineering roles.
Starting in 2007, Jag worked as a Safety Case Engineer at AMEC for a year. Jag then joined AMEC Foster Wheeler in 2010, where they served as a Prospects and Project Manager. During this time, they developed a business strategy for expansion and provided support on proposal management and project management for both small and large-scale projects.
From 2012 to 2013, Jag worked at NUVIA as a Proposals Manager, gaining extensive experience in UK and international EPC Nuclear turnkey proposals. Jag successfully won major projects, including the highly acclaimed Sellafield FGMSP B30 export project.
In 2013, Jag had two concurrent roles. As a Business Manager (interim) at Chester-Simplex Limited, they were responsible for the business management and operations of the company, overseeing a multi-million pound framework. At the same time, they worked as a Project and Process Engineer at Amec Foster Wheeler in the Upstream Oil and Gas sector, managing offshore and onshore projects.
Jag then joined Cavendish Nuclear in 2015 as a Lead Process Engineer. Jag played a crucial role in the Sellafield SRP project, acting as the Process Area Lead and Hydrocarbons/DSEAR Assessor. Jag also served as an expert in laser welding, cutting systems, and autonomous TIG welding.
In 2019, Jag became self-employed and worked as a Process Engineering and Project Management Consultant, focusing on the Sellafield Replacement Analytics Project. This involved utilizing specialized equipment in a laboratory setting for the analysis of hazardous materials.
Most recently, Jag joined Moltex Energy in 2021. Their first role was Head of Engineering, where they led a multidisciplinary team and ensured the safe and quality engineering of the Molten Salt SMR and CANDU waste-to-fuel reprocessing facility. Jag is currently serving as the Technical Director - WATSS, responsible for setting up and delivering the WATSS Engineering and R&D on a new nuclear build FOAK SMR support plant.
Throughout their career, Jag has demonstrated their expertise in engineering and project management, particularly in the nuclear and oil and gas sectors. Jag has been involved in various high-stakes projects, consistently producing successful outcomes.
Jag Singh - CEng MIChemE completed their education in a chronological manner, first earning a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Chemical Engineering/Management from Aston University. This degree spanned from 2005 to 2009. Subsequently, they pursued further academic achievements by obtaining a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Engineering Management from Aston University, which they successfully completed in the year 2010.
