Sarah Cowan

Sarah Cowan is a seasoned video producer and freelance writer with extensive experience in modern and contemporary art, film, and cultural reporting. Currently serving as a Senior Video Producer at The Museum of Modern Art since November 2021, Sarah oversees the video team, executing content strategies and producing engaging media. Concurrently, Sarah contributes to various publications including The New Yorker and The Paris Review, writing reviews, interviews, and essays. Previously, Sarah held a significant role at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, where accomplishments included directing and producing the acclaimed "Met Stories" series. An Art History graduate from Tufts University, Sarah’s career spans roles in documentary production, fine arts editing, and archival research.
