Susan Leathes

Susan Leathes has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Susan currently serves as the Director of Nursing at Monarch Healthcare Management since October 2021. Previously, from July 2016 to March 2022, they worked as a Nursing Manager at WALKER METHODIST HEALTH CENTER INC. Before that, they held roles at Volunteers of America of - Minnesota and Wisconsin, where they worked as a Nurse Manager from May 2015 to April 2016 and as a Registered Nurse-Supervisor-Admissions Coordinator from September 2012 to May 2015. Susan also worked at Minnesota Gastroenterology as an RN Clinical Research Coordinator from May 2011 to February 2012. Additionally, they gained valuable experience at Mayo Clinic, where they worked as an RN Clinical Research Coordinator from June 2004 to February 2008, an RN/Outpatient Gynecology Clinic from March 2002 to June 2004, an RN Intermediate Care/Vascular Surgery from July 2000 to February 2002, and an RN Intermediate Care/Heart and Lung Transplant from April 1997 to July 2000. Susan Leathes has an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from University Center Rochester, which they completed from 1995 to 1997. In 2015 and 2016, they attended Volunteers of America Leadership University and obtained a Leadership University Certification in Nursing Management. In 1997, they also completed the Mayo Clinic Intermediate Care Area Nurse Internship Program. Susan has additional certifications including Basic Life Support for Health Care Professionals from the American Heart Association which they obtained in 2011, Advanced Cardiac Life Support also from the American Heart Association in 1997, and they are a Registered Nurse certified by the MN Board of Nursing in 1997.
