Antony Sutherland

Antony Sutherland has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Antony started their career in 2010 as an ITAS Tutor at Monash University, where they provided tutoring assistance to indigenous students. In 2012, they worked as a Research Assistant at the Baker IDI Heart and Diabetes Institute.

From 2014 to 2017, Antony served as a Lead Technical Officer at Nucleus Network, supporting and implementing laboratory processing for clinical trial samples sponsored by international pharmaceutical companies.

In 2015, Antony took on multiple roles. Antony worked as a Music Teacher at the Peninsula Youth Music Society, teaching music to students. Additionally, they joined St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne as a Clinical Project Officer & Research Assistant, coordinating and managing research projects and clinical trials. During this time, they also worked at Whitefriars College as a Contract/Session Instrumental Teaching & Ensemble Director, teaching trumpet lessons and directing the college's jazz band.

In 2019, Antony joined Monash Health as a Senior Clinical Trial Coordinator, overseeing the coordination and management of clinical trials. Antony then advanced to the position of Team Lead - Haematology Clinical Trial Coordination.

Antony's work experience showcases their expertise in clinical trials, research coordination, laboratory processing, teaching, and project management.

Antony Sutherland holds a Bachelor of Biomedical Science degree in Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Physiology, and Microbiology from Monash University, completed between the years 2007 and 2010. In 2011, they pursued an Honours degree in Pharmacology, specializing in the field of Pharmacology, at Monash University. Currently, Antony is enrolled at the University of Melbourne, where they are studying for a Specialist Certificate in Cancer Science, focusing on Health Services, Allied Health, and Health Sciences. Additionally, they plan to pursue a Master's degree in Cancer Science with a concentration in Cancer Science and Public Health starting in 2023.
