Joanne McCann

Director Of Clinical Operations - Critical Care at Monash Health

Joanne McCann has a diverse and extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Joanne began their career as a Critical Care Nurse Specialist at The Alfred Hospital in 1996. Joanne then served as a Management Associate Nurse Unit Manager and Clinical Nurse Educator at the same hospital, specializing in surgical ward, trauma management, and neurosurgical care. During this time, they also held the role of Associate Lecturer at La Trobe University. In 2004, Joanne became a Nurse Unit Manager at The Alfred Hospital before transitioning to Melbourne IVF in 2006. At Melbourne IVF, they served as an Operations Manager and later as an Operations Manager and Director of Nursing. In 2017, they joined Guide Dogs Victoria as the Manager of Customer Service and Innovation. Currently, Joanne holds the position of Director of Clinical Operations for Critical Care and Neurosciences at Monash Health since December 2018.

Joanne McCann holds a Bachelor of Nursing and a Graduate Diploma in Critical Care from La Trobe University. Joanne also has achieved a Master of Arts in Education and a Master of Business Administration.
