Kate Horkings began their work experience in 2002 at Monash Health, where they held various roles. Kate started as the Operations Director of Health Information Services, overseeing a budget of $25 million and 350 staff members. Kate was involved in major change projects, ensured compliance with NSQHC Standards, and identified opportunities for innovation in health record management processes. In 2022, they became the Director of Clinical Operations for Health Information, Specialist Clinics, and Language Services, responsible for leading and managing specified portfolios. Additionally, from 2018 to 2020, Kate served as a Board Member for the Health Information Management Association of Australia Limited (HIMAA).
Kate Horkings has a post-graduate diploma in Health Services Administration from La Trobe University. Kate also holds an associate's degree in Health Information/Medical Records Technology/Technician from the same university. Additionally, Kate has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Information Technology and a post-graduate diploma in Business Information Technology from Swinburne University of Technology.
