Mohamed Badawy has had a diverse work experience in the field of medical physics and academia. Mohamed started their career at Austin Health in 2011 as a Diagnostic Imaging Medical Physicist during a work placement. Mohamed then became a Research Assistant and a Diagnostic Imaging Medical Physicist at Austin Health from 2013 to 2017. In 2014, they also worked as a Lab Demonstrator at RMIT University. From 2008 to 2014, Mohamed was self-employed as a Personal Trainer. In 2018, they joined Monash Health as a Medical Physicist/RSO and later assumed the role of Chief Physicist and Radiation Safety Officer. Mohamed also worked as an Adjunct Senior Lecturer at Monash University from 2018 and as a Sessional Lecturer at the University of Melbourne from 2021.
Mohamed Badawy has a strong education background in the field of medical radiations science and physics. Mohamed completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Medical Radiations Science from RMIT University in 2017. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Applied Science in Medical Physics from QUT (Queensland University of Technology) between 2012 and 2013. Mohamed also holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics (with Distinction) from RMIT University, which they achieved from 2008 to 2011.
