Tom Chynoweth has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Tom began their career as a Pharmacy Intern at Monash Health in November 2009 and later worked as a Clinical Pharmacist, where they gained expertise in various areas such as cardiothoracic surgery, rehabilitation, movement disorders, and gastroenterology. Tom then took on the role of Senior Pharmacist in the Therapeutic Equivalence Program (TEP), where they managed relationships with pharmaceutical industry representatives and oversaw the management of agreements. In March 2017, Tom joined HealthShare Victoria as a Senior Category Manager, responsible for leading a team in the delivery of pharmaceutical procurement programs for Victorian public hospitals. Tom later became the Head of Sourcing, overseeing the pharmaceutical procurement program and developing sourcing strategies. In November 2018, they returned to Monash Health in the position of Deputy Director of Pharmacy, where they led the delivery of key functions across the pharmacy department, including managing the COVID-19 vaccination program.
Tom Chynoweth completed their education at Monash University, where they earned a Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons.) degree from 2006 to 2009. Tom then pursued a Grad Certificate in Pharmacy Practice at the same university from 2010 to 2011. In 2015 to 2016, they attained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Monash University as well. Tom Chynoweth also attended Melbourne High School from 2002 to 2005. Additionally, they earned several certifications, including being a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Advanced Pharmacy and the Society of Hospital Pharmacists of Australia. Tom is also registered as a pharmacist with AHPRA (Australia Health Practitioner Regulation Agency).
