Matthieu Smietana

Matthieu Smietana is an experienced executive in the food production industry, currently serving as the Group Production Director at MONBAKE, overseeing the production activities across 11 factories and managing a team of over 1500 personnel. Previous roles include Spain Continuous Improvement Manager at GRUMA, where Matthieu led improvement initiatives in tortilla and corn flour production, and Plant Manager at Europastry, focusing on frozen bread and pastry manufacturing. Matthieu has a strong foundation in engineering, holding a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College London and a Diplôme d'Ingénieur from Grenoble INP. Additional experiences include project management at Mondelēz International and process improvement at Mondi Group, as well as training in engineering consultancy at Jacobs Engineering.
