Anja Schlott

Anja Schlott has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Anja began their career as a Student Assistant at the MRC London Institute of Medical Sciences in 2010, where they worked until 2013. During this time, they gained valuable skills in research and laboratory work.

In 2013, Anja had a work placement at the National Institute for Medical Research, where they focused on a Malaria-Box inhibitor screen using activity-based protein profiling. Anja successfully carried out a competitive assay with a FP-Rhodamine probe, gaining experience in data analysis and visualization.

Anja then joined MSD in 2018 for a work shadow and work experience opportunity in the Business Development Office. Anja contributed to scouting and evaluating new research collaborations, preclinical compounds, and clinical compounds, while also analyzing performance for potential project and partnering opportunities.

In 2018, Anja also had a PhD internship and collaboration with GlaxoSmithKline Pharma GmbH, further expanding their industry experience. During this stint, they worked on various projects related to their field of study.

From 2015 to 2019, Anja pursued their PhD at The Francis Crick Institute. As a PhD student, they showcased excellent project management skills, successfully delivering a 4-year research project from planning to publication. Anja also managed a multi-laboratory collaboration between the UK and US for scientific publication. During this time, Anja also served as a Sustainability Representative, implementing the "Green Impact" program to improve sustainability in laboratory and office spaces. Anja facilitated workshops and created engaging content for communication purposes.

Anja briefly worked as an Analyst at Urgentem in 2020, contributing to the ET Carbon Ranking Project by collecting and inputting data, researching GHG emission reporting, and reviewing annual and sustainability reports.

Anja then joined InnerPlanet in 2019 as a Project and Event Manager, where they organized the London Climathon and executed project management tasks such as task delegation, schedule development, and budget management. Anja also managed internal communication and supported cross-team operations.

Most recently, Anja has been working at Mondra since 2020. Anja started as an Associate Life Cycle Assessment Consultant, performing complex agri-food sector Life Cycle Assessments and contributing to R&D efforts. Currently, they hold the position of LCA Data Steward.

Throughout their career, Anja Schlott has showcased a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a broad range of skills in research, project management, event organization, and sustainability.

Anja Schlott's education history begins with their high school education at Heilwig Gymnasium Hamburg from 1997 to 2010. During this time, they took advanced courses in Biology and English and chose Spanish and History as their examination subjects.

Following their high school education, they pursued their Bachelor's Degree in Molecular Biology at Royal Holloway, University of London from 2011 to 2014.

Anja then continued their studies at Imperial College London, where they obtained a Master's Degree in Drug Discovery and Development from 2014 to 2015.

Anja Schlott concluded their education journey at Imperial College London by pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from 2015 to 2019.
