Sean McCormick

Sean McCormick has had a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Sean started their career as a Multi-platform Sports Broadcaster at Rogers Sportsnet, where they provided content for digital and traditional platforms. Sean was later promoted to the national anchor desk and co-hosted a top sports talk show. Sean also anchored a nightly Olympic show during the 2010 Winter Olympics.

Sean then founded Queen West Musicfest, a rock music festival, where they secured strategic partnerships with major companies and focused on creating sponsorship revenue and marketing support.

Sean then entered the political arena as a Toronto City Council Candidate in Ward 19 Trinity Spadina, running a successful campaign with the support of Mayor John Tory and the Liberal and Conservative Parties of Canada.

After that, they joined FrontStream Payments as a Sr. Manager and later became the Director of Business Development, leading the Canadian sales team and delivering solutions for e-commerce, mobile commerce, and social commerce opportunities to non-profit organizations.

Most recently, Sean worked at Moneris, initially as a Sr. Account Executive and later as the Head of Growth Strategy at their subsidiary, Spendscape. Sean developed and launched sales, marketing, and partnership strategies, managed teams, and supported strategic product development. Sean currently holds the role of Vice President of Business Development at Moneris Data Services.

Sean McCormick attended the University of Manitoba, where they pursued a degree in Arts. The specific field of study during this time is unknown. Later, from 1994 to 1996, they attended the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) and obtained an Honors degree in Broadcast Journalism.
