Deputy Director (team Leader), Capital Markets Intermediaries at Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS)

Daniel Chong has extensive work experience in the financial industry, primarily with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). Daniel held various roles within MAS, including Deputy Director and Assistant Director, where they supervised capital markets intermediaries and implemented regulatory frameworks for asset managers. Daniel also led teams responsible for compliance with regulatory requirements and policy reviews. Prior to joining MAS, they worked as an Associate at Schroder Investment Management Singapore Limited. Daniel began their career at MAS as an Associate, where they supervised Singaporean capital markets intermediaries and developed a risk assessment framework.

Daniel Chong has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) from the University of Oxford, which they completed from 1999 to 2002. Daniel also holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in International Relations from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), which they obtained from 2002 to 2003. In addition, they have obtained a certification in GARP SCR from the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP), as of the year 2023.
