Martin Smith

Martin Smith has a diverse and extensive work experience in the financial services industry. Martin started their career at Bank Brussels Lambert Group, where they served as the Head of Equity Sales for almost a decade. Martin then moved to Nomura International PLC - Nomura Securities Inc, where they held the position of Director and Head of Distribution in the Investment Banking Division. Martin then joined United Financial Group as the Head of Equity Product, where they successfully re-positioned and grew the securities business. Following that, they worked at Interchange Group (Asia Pacific) as the Managing Director and Head of Business Development, responsible for establishing operating businesses in Australia, Hong Kong, and Singapore. Martin further gained experience at Global Currency Exchange, where they worked as a Commercial Director, marketing the company's eCommerce payments products to major corporations, with a particular focus on the airline industry. Currently, they hold the position of Commercial Director at Monex Financial Services Limited, focusing on business development and account management.

Martin Smith attended the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) from 2000 to 2001, where they obtained Series 7, 9, 10, and 63 qualifications. Prior to this, they studied at the University of Bristol from 1983 to 1986, earning a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies.
