W. Alexander Holmes has been the Chairman & CEO at MoneyGram since October 2003. W. was the Regional Director - Benelux at Western Union from January 2002 to October 2003. Before that, they were at First Data Corporation from October 2000 to May 2009 as the SVP Global Sourcing. W. started their career at Univeristy of Colorado - Systems Administration in May 1997 as the Financial System & Human Resources System Project Manager and left in October 2000.

W. Alexander Holmes has a BS in Accounting from the University of Colorado Boulder - Leeds School of Business and an MS in Information Technology from the [University of Colorado Denver.
