Balaji Parthasarathy

Bala Parthasarathy is the Co-founder at MoneyTap. Bala has also previously worked with Prime Ventures (formerly AngelPrime), UIDAI, Government of India, and Snapfish, by Hewlett Packard.

Bala started their career with Snapfish in 1999 as the CTO & Co-founder. Bala and their team built a highly scaleable Photo & Ecommerce application that manages 10 Billion photos and 40 Million transactions a year. In 2006, they became the General Manager, VP - Snapfish Europe, Asia Pacific & Japan. In this role, they grew the business from scratch to $100M run-rate and directed product strategy for international markets.

From 2010 to 2011, Bala took on a Volunteer role with UIDAI, Government of India. In this role, they helped with various projects related to the government's Unique Identification Authority of India initiative.

In 2012, Bala co-founded MoneyTap, a mobile app that provides instant credit lines to salaried professionals in India. MoneyTap has since raised over $67 million in funding from leading investors such as Sequoia Capital, Mayfield Fund, and Prime Venture Partners.

Bala Parthasarathy has a Masters in Computer Engineering from the University of California, Santa Cruz and a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
