Evan Nixon

Evan Nixon has a diverse work experience across multiple companies and roles. Evan started their career as a Student Researcher at Washington University in St. Louis, where they worked on projects related to sound source triangulation and small automated vehicles. From 2012 to 2014, Evan worked as an Assistant Technical Staff at MIT Lincoln Laboratory, focusing on developing algorithms for missile defense applications and presenting findings to specialists.

In 2015, Evan joined Salesforce as a Software Engineering Intern, where they developed components for an email integration app using the Aura framework and JavaScript. Evan demonstrated strong teamwork skills by dividing tasks and parallelizing work to meet project deadlines.

Evan then moved on to ToutApp, Inc. in 2016, where they worked as a Software Engineer. In this role, they implemented core business logic using Ruby on Rails and collaborated closely with product and design teams to develop new business services.

In 2017, Evan transitioned to Marketo after its acquisition of ToutApp, Inc. Evan worked as a Software Engineer, primarily focusing on developing core Rails applications with a React front-end as a full-stack engineer. Evan also led the effort to set up a new Rails 5 framework.

Evan's next role was at mLab in 2018, where they worked as a Software Engineer. After this, they joined MongoDB the same year and held multiple positions, including Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, and currently, they serve as a Lead Engineer.

Evan Nixon obtained a Master's Degree in Computer Science from Stanford University from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they pursued their undergraduate studies at Washington University in St. Louis, where they completed their Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering and Electrical Engineering between 2008 and 2012. During their undergraduate studies, Evan focused on Engineering and Economics.
