Jacob Ribnik

Senior Director Of Engineering at MongoDB

Jacob Ribnik has extensive work experience in various roles and positions. Jacob started their career as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at UCLA in 2004 and then moved on to work as a Graduate Student Researcher at UC Santa Barbara from 2005 to 2011. During this time, they performed high energy experimental particle physics research at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN and discovered the Higgs boson.

In 2012, Jacob joined We-Care.com as a Senior Software Engineer and worked there until 2013. Jacob then joined MongoDB in 2013 and worked as a Technical Services Engineer until 2015. Jacob was promoted to the role of Senior Technical Services Engineer at MongoDB and worked in that role until 2016.

From 2016 to 2017, Jacob worked at ClimaCell Inc. as a Lead Data Scientist. Jacob then returned to MongoDB in 2017 and took on the role of Staff Engineer until 2019. From 2019 to 2022, they served as the Director of Engineering at MongoDB. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Director of Engineering at MongoDB, where they continue to contribute to the company's growth and success.

Jacob Ribnik earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from UCLA from 2002 to 2005. Jacob then pursued further education at UC Santa Barbara from 2005 to 2011, where they earned their Ph.D. in Physics.
