Joe Chan

Joe Chan has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Joe began their career as a Technical Recruiter at DMK Systems in 1999 and later joined Search Inc as a Researcher. In 2002, they moved to Premium Technology Inc as a Technical Recruiter before joining Staffmark in 2007 as a Senior Technical Recruiter in the Professional Services Division. Joe's responsibilities at Staffmark included recruiting and screening IT professionals for clients in a wide range of industries.

In 2011, Joe became a Talent Acquisition Partner at Experian CheetahMail, where they focused on email marketing and customer intelligence. Joe then took on the role of Senior Technical Recruiter at Etsy in 2012, where they recruited and hired Software Engineers for the company's product and infrastructure teams. Joe also helped create and manage Etsy's internship program.

Joe's next move was to Warby Parker in 2016, where they served as a Recruiting Manager, leading the recruiting team and implementing a capacity and bandwidth management system. In the same year, they also joined Flatiron Health as a Principal Technical Recruiter, responsible for recruiting Software Engineers and DevOps Engineers.

In 2018, Joe joined Paperless Post as the Head of Recruiting, managing the recruiting team and providing full life cycle recruitment and talent advice for all business units. Joe'smost recent role is at MongoDB, starting in 2019, where they initially served as a Lead Technical Recruiter before being promoted to Manager and then Senior Manager, overseeing the recruiting team supporting Cloud Engineering, TechOps, and Security.

Throughout their career, Joe has demonstrated strong expertise in sourcing, screening, and closing top talent. Joe has also coached and shared best practices with their teams to improve recruiting processes and efficiencies.

Joe Chan attended Bronx High School of Science from 1991 to 1995. Following their high school education, they enrolled at Stony Brook University from 1995 to 1999. No specific degree or field of study was provided for either institution.
