Karissa Fuller has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Karissa started their career in 2011 at Boeing, where they worked in roles such as Business Operations Specialist and Staff Analyst II. After that, they joined the Bainbridge Island Fire Department as a Firefighter/EMT from 2016 to 2021. In 2017, they joined Amazon Web Services (AWS) and held multiple positions, including Lead Executive Assistant and Sr. Community Program Manager. During their time at AWS, Karissa was instrumental in growing the AWS User Group program, expanding it to more countries and increasing its membership and leadership. Karissa also implemented initiatives to enhance community engagement, including creating a branding toolkit for AWS User Group leaders and launching the AWS Community Voices initiative. Currently, Karissa serves as the Sr. Partner Community Manager at MongoDB, a role they started in 2023.

Karissa Fuller's education history includes a Certificate of Culinary Arts from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts, Seattle, which was obtained in February 2010. From 2015 to 2017, they attended the University of Phoenix, studying Information Technology. In terms of additional certifications, Karissa obtained numerous qualifications, including but not limited to Emergency Medical Technician, Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers CPR & AED, Hazmat 1st Responder Operations, Hazmat 1st Responder Awareness, Firefighter I and II, Rope Rescue - Operations, and Rescue Systems 1. Karissa also achieved certifications from the American Sailing Association, such as ASA 114 Cruising Catamaran, ASA 104 Bareboat Cruising, ASA 103 Coastal Cruising, and ASA 101 Basic Keelboat. Moreover, Karissa obtained certifications in project management from the Project Management Institute, including Tools and Techniques of Project Management, Quality for Project Management, and Human Dimensions for Project Management. Additionally, they completed System Administration Training: Foundations of OBI for Taleo Enterprise, Ed. 1 from Oracle.
