Felix Basiime

Felix Basiime has a significant amount of work experience in the field of journalism. Felix started their career in 2002 as a Bureau Chief at Monitor Publications Ltd, where they held the position until 2008. In 2008, they joined The New Vision as a Reporter and worked there until 2009. Since 2009, Felix has been working at Monitor Publications Limited, a Nation Media Group Company, as a Bureau Chief for the Western region. In this role, they are responsible for coordinating editorial work, managing administration and PR, and writing special reports and projects. Their area of coverage includes several districts in Uganda.

Felix Basiime began their education at Makerere University in 2005, where they obtained certificates in Environmental Journalism. Felix continued their studies at Mbarara University of Science & Technology from 2007 to 2008, during which they earned a Diploma in Computer Networking.
