Martin Granig has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Martin is the CEO & Founder of Monkee, a company that aims to provide a responsible alternative to Buy Now Pay Later by combining Personal Finance and Loyalty/Cashback programs. Prior to Monkee, Martin worked as a University Lecturer at Leopold-Franzens Universität Innsbruck and MCI Management Center Innsbruck, where they taught courses on Product, Innovation, and Revenue Management. Before their academic career, Martin held various positions at SWAROVSKI, including Vice President Innovation & Portfolio Management, Vice President Trade Marketing, Director Global Product Management, International Product Manager, and Product Development Manager. These roles involved leading and managing teams, developing product strategies, forecasting and budgeting, and collaborating with different departments to drive innovation and business growth.
Martin Granig has an extensive education history. Martin obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from HTL Höhere Technische Bundes-Lehr- und Versuchsanstalt Innsbruck / Federal Higher Technical Institute for Educating and Experimenting, which they attended from 1996 to 2001. Martin then pursued further education in business and management, earning a Mag. (FH) degree from MCI | The Entrepreneurial School® from 2003 to 2007. In 2005, they enrolled at Leopold-Franzens Universität Innsbruck and graduated with a Mag. rer. soc. oec. degree in Business Administration in 2009.
Martin Granig continued to expand their knowledge and skills through various programs and academies. In 2013, they attended the London Business School's course on Developing Strategy for Value Creation. The following year, they studied Go To Market Strategy at SDA Bocconi. In 2015, they participated in the SWAROVSKI Academy // Accelerating Performance Program at Hult Ashridge.
In recent years, Martin Granig focused on professional development in the field of innovation and disruptive technologies. In 2016, they completed the Disruptive Strategy course at Harvard Business School Online, as well as the Innovation Partnership Program at Singularity University in Silicon Valley. In 2017, they attended the Investors Academy with Hermann Hauser, hosted by the Aaia Austrian Angel Investor Association.
Most recently, Martin Granig has been engaged in the PhD Program Management at Leopold-Franzens Universität Innsbruck, starting in 2018.
