Robin A. Johnson has extensive experience in media and education, currently serving as the host of the Heartland Politics Show & Podcast at WVIK Public Radio since September 2020, and previously as host of the same show at KBUR-AM 1490 since April 2014. Robin has been a part-time lecturer at Monmouth College since 2000, teaching courses in American Politics, Campaign Methods, and Government and Politics in the Midwest. Prior experience includes serving on the Board of Directors for the National Council for Public Private Partnerships in 1999-2000 and as Director of Local Government Affairs in the Illinois Comptroller's Office from 1996 to 1997. Earlier, Robin was part of the Issues Development Staff for Illinois House Speaker Michael J. Madigan from 1987 to 1988. Education consists of a Bachelor of Science in American Government and Politics from Monmouth College and a Master of Arts in Public Administration from Western Illinois University.
