Head Of Sustainable Communities at Monmouthshire Housing Association

Kath Deakin has a significant amount of experience in the housing industry. Kath started their career at Hafod Housing Association as a Housing Officer from February 1994 to February 1999. Kath then moved to Monmouthshire Housing Group, where they held various roles. Kath started as a Policy and Performance Officer from January 2008 to September 2009, then became the Community Services Manager from September 2009 onwards. Currently, they are the Head of Sustainable Communities, a position they have held since May 2016. In this role, they lead a dedicated team focused on social and financial inclusion, employment opportunities, and community development. They manage regeneration projects and support customers in achieving their goals.

Kath Deakin obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from the University of Wales, Cardiff, where they attended from 1989 to 1991. Kath then pursued a Master of Science degree in Housing from the same university, completing their studies from 1992 to 1994. Kath Deakin has also earned the certification of Chartered Member from the Chartered Institute of Housing, although the specific month and year of obtaining this certification are not provided.
