Florian Egli

Florian Egli is a Professor at the Technical University of Munich, specializing in public policy for the green transition, focusing on policy design and evaluation for global sustainability. Concurrently, Florian serves as a Scientific Committee Member for the European Environment Agency and is the Co-Founder and Co-President of Expedition Future, an organization dedicated to addressing societal challenges through collaborative policy development. As an elected member of the Swiss Young Academy, Florian contributes to interdisciplinary innovation within Swiss science. Ongoing roles include a speaker, consultant, and facilitator, as well as a regular contributor to Monocle. Florian previously held positions as a Senior Researcher and Lecturer at ETH Zürich and has earned recognition for a PhD thesis in Climate & Energy Finance. Educational qualifications include a Dr. Sc. ETH from ETH Zürich and a Master's in International Economics from the Geneva Graduate Institute.
