Karl Schledwitz, Chairman and CEO of Monogram Foods, is responsible for providing the strategic direction for Monogram, its over 2600 employees, and its eight manufacturing plants. Karl and Wes Jackson created Monogram in 2004 after acquiring the regional processed meat brands of King Cotton, Circle B and Farmers Pride from the Sara Lee Corporation. Over the past 20 years, Karl has raised over $120 million of private capital, mostly within Memphis to build four businesses. For each of these companies, Karl developed the business plan, raised the money and served as founding chairman. He has had three companies make the Inc. 5000’s Fastest Growing Companies list with Monogram Foods making the list the past eight years in a row. Additionally, Karl is a real estate developer and investor with his partners in Southland Companies.
