Clarissa Hitter (Claire)

Clarissa (Claire) Hitter is an experienced educator currently serving as an 8th Grade English Language Arts and Social Studies Teacher at Glacial Drumlin Middle School within the Monona Grove School District since January 2022. Prior experience includes a role as a Student Teacher for 11th Grade U.S. History at Monona Grove High School from January to June 2021, and as a 6th Grade Student Teacher at Badger Ridge Middle School in the Verona Area School District from September 2020 to January 2021. Clarissa's background in education is further supported by a Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, obtained in 2021, and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the same institution, completed in 2020. Additional experiences include working as an Undergraduate Intern for the George L. Mosse Program in History from June 2018 to May 2020, and as a Swim Instructor at Wisconsin Swim Academy, LLC from January 2013 to August 2017.
