Nobuhiro Seki is a Co-founder, Chief Investment Officer & GM Materials Engineering at Monozukuri Ventures since 2020. Prior to this, they served as an Advisor for NYDesigns, an incubator of CUNY, where they helped entrepreneurs get connected to critical assets such as mentorship, funding and manufacturing resources. Nobuhiro also founded FabFoundry, a platform for hardware startups that brings bulletproof oversight of manufacturing processes, and serves as Managing Director for MBC Shisaku Fund, a Kyoto-based VC fund specialized in seed-stage hardware startups. Additionally, Seki has been a Board Member and Board Observer for Mentore since 2019, a Board Observer for Proteus Motion Inc. (formerly Boston Biomotion) since 2017, a Board Observer for Everykey since 2020, a Board Observer for ARIN Technologies, Inc. since 2018, and a Board Observer for Hoplite Power since 2017. Nobuhiro has also served as an Advisor for Skillzilla since 2020 and Finiite since 2019. In 2010, Seki founded ConnectFree, a leading company that provides the IoT (Internet of Things) solutions, including secure P2P communication chips manufactured in their fabless laboratory in Taiwan.

Nobuhiro Seki attended The University of Tokyo from 1988 to 1994, where they earned a BS in Materials Science. Nobuhiro then attended the Carnegie Mellon University - Tepper School of Business from 2000 to 2002, where they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies. In 2001, they also attended the London Business School for Entrepreneurship.
