Alex Kim

Alex Kim is the current Managing Director and Head of Asia at Monroe Capital. Alex has over fifteen years of experience in the financial industry, working in various positions such as Senior Manager of Business Development at Russell Investments and Relationship Banker at the Royal Bank of Scotland. Before joining Monroe Capital, Alex worked at Aberdeen Standard Investments for nine years, where they were responsible for leading the Asian team. Alex has a bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.

Alex Kim studied political science at the University of California, Irvine. They have a keen interest in economics and international relations, and have used their skills in international intelligence to help them understand these complex topics.

They work with Chris Lund - MD & Co-Portfolio Manager, Institutional Portfolios, Darrick Ginkel - MD & Head, Secondaries, Opportunistic Credit, and Brad Bernstein - MD & Head, Equity Group. Alex Kim reports to Theodore L. Koenig, Chairman & CEO.
