Mary Kelso

School Social Work MSW Intern at Monroe County Intermediate School District

Mary Kelso has extensive experience in social work and case management, currently serving as Team Coordinator for Health and Intensive Case Management at the Minnesota Council of Churches Refugee Services since July 2017. Alongside this role, Mary works as a Research Assistant at the University of Michigan School of Social Work and holds an MSW internship with the Monroe County Intermediate School District. Previous positions include a Social Work Volunteer at Hope of Children and Women Victims of Violence, a Refugee Resettlement MSW Intern at Jewish Family Services of Washtenaw County, and a Refugee Resettlement Case Manager at Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota. Mary’s foundational experience began with roles such as a Community Living Support for cognitively impaired clients and as an Undergraduate Researcher, presenting research at conferences and contributing to various projects during academic tenure at Hope College. Mary earned a Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and English from Hope College.
