Monroe County Sheriff
Michael Kent Neal is currently serving their fourth term as the Sheriff of Monroe County, a position held since January 2015. Prior to this role, Neal was a Corporal with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission from October 2007 to December 2014, where service included assignment to Lee County. Educational qualifications include a degree in Funeral Service and Mortuary Science from Northwest Mississippi Community College, completed between 1995 and 2001, as well as a High School Diploma from Marvell Academy, earned in 1995.

Monroe County Sheriff
The Sheriff's Office provides law enforcement service to all of the Florida Keys, which include approximately 125 miles of islands branching off the southern tip of Florida. The main and only highway, U.S. 1 runs from Florida City to Key West, and in that span, there are 42 bridges connecting the islands.
