Robert E. Anderson has extensive experience in law enforcement and emergency services. Currently serving as a Deputy Sheriff in the Standards and Compliance Unit at Monroe County Sheriff since January 2019, Robert previously held the position of Police Officer at the Town of Ogden Police Department from July 2006 to January 2019. Robert's background in firefighting includes service at Rush Fire Department from December 1997 to December 2010, where multiple roles were held, including Lieutenant, Captain, and Assistant Fire Chief. Earlier experience also includes part-time work as a Deputy Sheriff at Monroe County Sheriff's Office from August 2003 to July 2006, with assignments in Airport Security Unit and Sheriff's Tactical Accident Reduction Unit. Educational qualifications include a B.S. in Fire Protection and Safety from Oklahoma State University, complemented by a Regents Diploma from Rush-Henrietta Senior High School.

Monroe County Sheriff

The Sheriff's Office provides law enforcement service to all of the Florida Keys, which include approximately 125 miles of islands branching off the southern tip of Florida. The main and only highway, U.S. 1 runs from Florida City to Key West, and in that span, there are 42 bridges connecting the islands.
