Suzanne Donahue

Board Member at Monroe-Woodbury Central School District

Suzanne Donahue is serving her third term on the Monroe-Woodbury Board of Education. She is a retired New York City High School math teacher. During her teaching years, she served in various leadership roles including testing coordinator, program chair, and executive board member of the school’s United Federation of Teachers chapter and taught at the Walton Campus Young Adult Borough Center Program. She currently teaches a TOC GRE Prep class on Saturdays, working with teaching interns and the Summer Bridge Program for the Lehman College Research Foundation’s TRiOS program, as well as scheduling consultant at the Celia Cruz Bronx High School of Music. Donahue earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and a master’s degree in mathematics education, both from Lehman College, Bronx, NY. Donahue is a widow with two grown children and six grandsons, two of whom graduated from M-W High School. She has a 5 year old grandson who will be attending Kindergarten at Smith Clove Elementary School in the fall. She lives in Highland Mills.
