Craig E. Dauchy

Craig is the Legal Counsel for Monta Vista Capital. Craig is a Partner in Cooley's Business department and head of the Venture Capital practice group. Associated with the Firm since 1975, Craig became a partner in January 1981 and is resident in the Palo Alto office. He is a member of the Firm's Management Committee.

Recognized in many leading journals such as Legal 500, Chambers USA, Best Lawyers, and Super Lawyers. In 2012, Craig was named to the list of the Top 100 Lawyers in California by The Daily Journal. In addition, Craig was named the 2010 Corporate Lawyer of the Year in the San Francisco Bay Area by The Best Lawyers of America. He was included in the 2012 edition of the Best Lawyers in America for Corporate Law; Leverage Buyouts and Private Equity Law; Private Funds/Hedge Funds Law; and Venture Capital Law. Craig was also recognized in the 2012 edition of Chambers USA as a national leader in Investment Funds: Venture Capital and a leader in California in Corporate/M&A: Venture Capital.

Craig holds a JD/MBA from Stanford University, and a B.A. from Yale University.
