Robert Bishop is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in digital design, having served as Sr. Director of Digital Design at Montage Technology since December 2022. Prior to this role, Robert held the position of Principal Engineer R&D FPGA at ADVA Optical Networking from October 2012 to December 2022, where notable achievements included designing various Fibre Channel and ODUflex Mapper Client IPs and leading projects that integrated cutting-edge technologies. Earlier in their career, Robert served as Technical Lead, Product Development at PMC-Sierra, where leadership resulted in the successful tape-out of complex optical communications ASICs. Robert's background also includes a tenure at Integrated Device Technology and multiple engineering roles at IBM, where foundational skills in circuit design and chip integration were developed. Robert holds a BSEE from the University of Pittsburgh and an MSEE from the University of Vermont.
