Ian Clark

Ian has over 27 years of experience dealing with business rate matters on all types of commercial property, including industrial, office, retail property and more specialist properties, including hospitals and large entertainment arenas. He has appeared at the Valuation Tribunal as an independent expert on behalf of many clients over the years.

Ian is a national specialist advising on the NHS Estate and is retained to advise 15 NHS Trusts on all business rate matters. He sits on the steering group dealing directly with the Valuation Office Agency on all aspects of hospital rating valuation. He has advised on two of the largest new build hospitals in the last 10 years – Tunbridge Wells Hospital and Whiston Hospital. He is also currently advising on a large new hospital in Liverpool that will replace the existing Royal Liverpool site.

He has been involved in advising on some of the landmark buildings in London, including Harrods, the 02 Arena and Cartier and Burberry in New Bond Street. Ian is a very experienced rating valuer and is often asked to provide high-level advice to large occupiers and landlords.
