Joseph A. Brennan

Joseph A. Brennan is the Vice President for Communications and Marketing at Montclair State University. Previously, they were the founder and principal consultant of Joseph A. Brennan PhD, providing strategic communications services to higher education clients. Joseph has also served as a clinical professor of business and special assistant to the president at the University at Albany, SUNY, and as the VP for Strategic Communication at The University of Iowa. Brennan began their career in higher education as the associate vice president for university communications at the University at Buffalo.

Joseph A. Brennan has a M.A. and Ph.D. in English from the University at Buffalo, an MBA in Marketing from the University of the Pacific - Eberhardt School of Business, and a B.A. in English & Psychology from Wayne State University. Joseph also has certification from CultureTalk as a Culture Talk Certified Partner, from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) as a Fellow of the Public Relations Society of America, from SUNY as an Executive Leadership Academy, and from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) as an Accredited in Public Relations (APR).

Joseph A. Brennan reports to Jonathan Koppell, President. They work with Michael Galvin - Interim VP, Finance & Treasurer, Danianne Mizzy - Dean, Library Services, and David Vernon - Vice President for Human Resources.
