Xavier Lucas

Senior Scientist II In Computational Medicinal Chemistry at Monte Rosa Therapeutics

Xavier Lucas is a Senior Scientist II in Computational Medicinal Chemistry at Monte Rosa Therapeutics since October 2022, with prior experience as a Senior Scientist at Roche from August 2018 to September 2022. Lucas specializes in computational chemistry and structure-based drug design across multiple therapeutic areas. Previously, as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Individual Fellow at The University of Dundee, research focused on advancing the design of molecules for protein degradation using computational and biophysical techniques. Earlier roles included a postdoctoral researcher working on drug discovery, epigenetics, and cheminformatics at Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg im Breisgau, as well as a resident student exploring protein-protein docking algorithms at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from The University of Freiburg, a Master of Science in BioInformatics for Health Sciences from Universitat Pompeu Fabra, and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Universitat de les Illes Balears.
