Monterey Bay Aquariam Research Institute
Aaron is a Senior Scientist and Principal Investigator of MBARI’s Seafloor Processing Lab. He received his PhD in Marine Geology and Geophysics from the National Oceanography Centre, University of Southampton, United Kingdom. Aaron’s main research interest is seafloor geomorphology, whereby he uses quantitative techniques to solve problems related to erosion and hydrogeology. At MBARI he focuses on active seafloor processes at fine spatial and temporal scales. Aaron has previously worked at GEOMAR (Germany) and University of Barcelona (Spain) and has participated in more than 30 oceanographic expeditions.
