Monterey Bay Aquarium
Josh Madeira is an accomplished professional in the field of policy and stakeholder engagement, currently serving as the Director of Policy & Stakeholder Engagement at the Monterey Bay Aquarium since August 2014. Prior roles at the aquarium include Fisheries and Aquaculture Policy Director, Senior Manager of Ocean Conservation Policy, and Federal Policy Manager. Previously, Josh held the position of Officer in Government Relations at The Pew Charitable Trusts from January 2010 to July 2014 and served as a Sea Grant Fellow with the Committee on Natural Resources in the U.S. House of Representatives in 2009. Educational qualifications include a Master of Environmental Science and Management in Coastal and Marine Resource Management from UC Santa Barbara and a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Environmental Studies from Bowdoin College.
