Hiram Grau

VP of Compliance & Security Strategies at Monterrey Security

As Vice President of Compliance and Security Strategies, Hiram is responsible for leading Monterrey Security’s on-site strategies and collaborating with local law enforcement leaders to ensure security approaches are fully integrated and compliant.

Hiram spent three decades in law enforcement, including as Director of the Illinois State Police and Deputy Superintendent of the Chicago Police Department. He has led security and compliance strategies for Monterrey Security since 2017.

A decorated veteran of the Vietnam War, he spent much of his law enforcement career working in commanding gang investigation units and also worked as deputy chief of investigations for the Cook County State’s Attorney. He has received hundreds of special commendations and recognition awards, including 12 Department Commendations and more than 100 Honorable Mentions.

Hiram is a graduate of the FBI National Academy and the Executive Development Programs at the City of Chicago and University of Illinois. He is involved in numerous civic organizations and has served as President of the St. Jude Police League.
