Andrew Ruiz has over 14 years of experience in early childhood education, currently serving as Toddler Lead, Toddler Co-Director, and Nido Afterschool Director at Montessori Academy of Colorado since May 2009. Responsibilities include assisting in Nido classrooms and leading the community in afterschool activities. Previous experience as a Teacher Assistant involved providing individualized lessons and organizing circle time. Andrew's education includes a Montessori Diploma in Primary from Train Montessori and a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education from Metropolitan State University of Denver, along with additional qualifications in early childhood education and cosmetology. Prior to their educational career, Andrew worked as a full-service hairstylist at Illusions Hair Design, where expertise included hair cutting, coloring, and various styling techniques.
