Guillermo E Laya

Guillermo E. Laya is an accomplished professional in the field of education and assessment, currently serving as the College-wide Assessment and Testing Centers Director at Montgomery College since November 2014. Responsibilities include managing staff across multiple locations and revising testing policies. Previous experience includes roles as Language Test Development Coordinator at the Center for Applied Linguistics, Test Developer at Second Language Testing Inc., and Evening Program Coordinator at The Next Step Public Charter School. Guillermo has also held positions as an Intake and Assessment Specialist at Montgomery College and Assistant Professor of ESOL & Spanish at Atlantic Cape Community College. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language from American University and a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Linguistics from Montclair State University.
