Sidney Cooper

Sidney Cooper is a seasoned Public Relations Specialist with extensive experience in event planning and marketing, currently working for the Montgomery County Government's Wheaton Urban District since January 2008. Responsibilities include managing large-scale, pop-up, and virtual events, producing a variety of marketing materials, creating and overseeing website and social media content, and supporting local businesses through strategic marketing initiatives. Sidney also coordinates procurement for marketing services, negotiates contracts, solicits event sponsorships and media partnerships, engages with community stakeholders to enhance brand awareness, and manages the district's marketing budget. Prior to this role, Sidney served as a Marketing Manager at KABOOM! from August 2005 to January 2008, where efforts focused on executing promotional initiatives and organizing training events and conferences nationwide.
